I teach yoga because every single time I do it, it feels like the right thing to do.
Someone recently asked my why I wanted to teach yoga. I hadn’t honestly thought about it before I did my teacher training in 2014. In fact, I hadn’t thought about being a yoga teacher at all until Anne Howard, who is the head instructor at Outer Banks Yoga sat me down and told me I needed to go to teacher training. I reluctantly agreed to do the training, and it has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. My life has been spent with a wide variety of audiences playing music and performing all over the world and I have always relished the connectivity that comes with it. Over the years I have also studied a variety of physical and healing arts in addition to practicing yoga. I became a very serious practitioner after a severely herniated disc changed my life. All of these experiences have led me to the path of being a yoga teacher. I have discovered that yoga is a practice that has unbelievable benefits for our lives, and I have seen first hand how it can positively affect people. I personally love sharing this ancient art form with people in a way that makes the “light bulb go off” and I have been blown away by how many students share a personal story with me about how our practice together has helped them in some meaningful way.
Stay tuned to this space, I think you are going to like what is happening in it. Perhaps we will get to practice together soon…
